Eric advises individuals and families on domestic and international estate and tax planning matters, helping clients achieve their unique and specific goals through the development and implementation of personally-tailored plans and strategies. Clients have also relied on Eric’s estate and trust administration skills after the passing of a loved one. Eric has experience advising individuals, fiduciaries, and businesses with matters such as: domestic and international income, gift, and estate tax planning and compliance; residence and nonresident estate administration; domestic and foreign trust administration; foreign and offshore disclosure and reporting. Eric also has experience advising tax-exempt organizations, such as charitable trusts, operating and non-operating private foundations and charities, with matters such as entity formation, registration, governance, and tax compliance.
Prior to joining Kozusko Harris Duncan, Eric was an Associate in the Chicago office of a national firm where his practice focused on estate planning, and trust and estate administration. Eric is also a regular volunteer with Chinatown Pro Bono Legal Clinic, where he enjoys giving back to the community he grew up a part of.
While in law school, Eric was a legal extern at the Internal Revenue Service’s Office of Chief Counsel in Chicago, and a legal intern at the National Football League’s office in New York.
